A scrobble is a record that you actually played a song, long enough to count. Scrobbles build a comprehensive picture of your taste over time, across every platform you use.
01
Install the extension
A small browser extension watches Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, Bandcamp. No account needed yet.
Only needed for music & videos. To log movies, TV, anime, or books you've watched, you don't need the extension — just sign in.
02
Log in with Gmail or connect a Hive account
Sign in with Gmail to start in seconds, or connect a Hive account with Keychain to own your history on-chain. Your keys stay on your device — we never see them, ever.
03
Listen. A scrobble is written.
When a play passes the duration threshold, it's recorded to Hive as a custom_json op. Free, forever, yours.
04
Movies and TV too
Watching on Netflix, Disney+, Max, or Prime Video gets auto-tracked the same way music does. Theatrical, Blu-ray and podcasts can be logged by hand from the search bar — same chain, same logbook.
